The Daisies Series has close to 100 daisies all together and is an extension of something I've been fascinated with for years after the result of a project I did surprised me. It was images of women where I stripped their faces down to just the basic features expecting to prove that “deep down we are all really the same”.

Pfft. I was wrong.

I discovered that even at our most basic we are all individuals. Each of us uniquely handcrafted and original down to the last detail.

Even something so simple and so well known as a daisy can have so many surprises from one to the next. I photographed each flower where it lives, in the natural light around it. You’ll see that they have different personalities, characters and even moods: some are so serious and full of themselves, others are carefree and disheveled; some have come near to the end of their time to shine and have a story to tell if you can sit and listen.

These images are meant to be owned individually or as a group. You may connect to them in many different ways: maybe you see one as a portrait of yourself, or a collection of them represent your family; one could remind you of an experience or a place; it’s possible that one of them simply brings you joy when you see it.

Because each daisy is an individual, these are limited edition prints. There will only be one print sold of each. If you own one, you are the only person who does.

Each is available either as an archival 8x8 or 12x12. If properly taken care of, these prints will outlive their owner. I am also offering them right now as a gift size of 5x5. Because I only sell one of each flower they make a very unique and personal gift. Choose one that reminds you of someone and send it to them with a personal note telling them why you chose it, or pick one that you think will remind them of you!
